love and friends

Shea and I just celebrated our anniversary. Among many beautiful gifts and words, Shea gave me the most beautiful 2 dozen roses that I have ever seen.

We celebrated my birthday with an incredible party with no less than Shea cooking a Greek dish for everyone and lots of fun games.

The Wedding of a Friend

Today (and tonight), Shea and I attended a wedding of one of my childhood family friends. It was a Greek Orthodox wedding with a magnificent reception at the Marriott in Downtown LA. Here are some pictures of us, the church, and the extensive reception.

enjoying the freedom of Easter

We loved celebrating Christ's resurrection with our church family and natural family today. In between we stopped in a park and had a little fun. :)

parlais vous francais?

Shea returned last night from a 6-day (including travel) trip to Nice, France for an European online education conference. Apart from a minimalist hotel room, lots of city construction, and standing for 10 hours at a time, Shea also got to see a little bit of Riviera beauty, and as I (Elizabeth) like to say, “Vive la Mediterranean!”

The pictures below came from the old quarter of Nice and its beautiful Mediterranean coastline. It is easy to imagine this beach flooded with tourists during the summer months.

Since Nice is such a tourist city, most people spoke enough English so Shea wasn’t in a bind for communicating. However, he does have some funny stories, so be sure to ask him about those.

As you can see, Nice had some very big, ugly modern art throughout the city…such a contrast to the beautiful cathedrals, opera house, and coastline!

I think that this trip truly enforced how much we want to see more of the Mediterranean Sea together- specifally the Greek Isalnds…. hopefully after Rosemead lets me go with a degree.

Laguna Valentine's Day

Today, for a special Valentine's Day date, I took my lovely young bride off to one of our favorite locales in SoCal: Treasure Cove Beach, just south of Laguna Beach. We had a fabulous time and wanted to share a few glimpses into our happy day. Enjoy! -Shea

2 Celebrations

Here is a picture of the women of Elizabeth's family while we were celebrating John's Birthday. The 2nd picture is of the pre-Valentine's Day surprise Shea gave to Elizabeth. :)
